Sports betting is what Ladbrokes is famous for, but the same operator is highly active when it comes to poker and online casino games. The reference to sports betting is obvious, but those who are intimately familiar with their business model, know that the company covers a far broader spectrum. The BBH campaign is supposed to be amusing, but sports betting fans will surely relate to the lovable characters and would probably find many similarities between them and their own attitude towards gambling. The beauty of this video is that it rings true to many of those who routinely use their services, while the filming techniques remind us of Guy Ritchie and Snatch. There are five characters that feature in this short movie and each of them depict a certain type of gambler, with a different vision and expectations. Obviously the goal of all five protagonist is to make as much money as possible, but their approach couldn't be more different. The Believer, Generous John, Mr. Brightside, The Professor and The Gut Truster share their insights about how online gambling is supposed to work. While they don't actually give powerful or even useful advice to prospective players, they represent the glamorous Ladbrokes Life. There is no shortage of detractors though and they were quick to point out the fact that the image painted by the bookmaker turned online casino and poker room is far from reality. There can never be a consensus about things like this, but the only certain thing is that the first two videos released are amusing and inspiring. Gary Freeman and The Glue Society were behind these tips and they promise to release for more in a not so distant future, each of them based on the four remaining characters.
